Legal guarantee
At least two years of legal guarantee of conformity for goods sold in the European Union.
Consumers can exercise their rights under the legal guarantee, for example if the goods:
Sellers are liable for any lack of conformity that existed when the goods were delivered and becomes apparent during the legal guarantee period. In these cases, sellers must offer:
Some countries provide a longer legal guarantee period. A shorter period may apply to second-hand goods, but it cannot be less than one year.
For information about your rights in a particular country, scan the QR code in the notice or ask the seller.

What should you do if you receive goods that do not conform?
Sellers and manufacturers may also provide commercial guarantees that apply independently of the legal guarantee. For example, the GARAN label in the notice indicates that the manufacturer provides a commercial durability guarantee at no additional cost that covers the entire product.

NYY-J type underground cables are the standard solution when electricity needs to be reliably routed outdoors and directly into the ground. At EBROM, you can obtain NYY-J underground cables in many conductor cross-sections and numbers of cores – suitable for projects in the garden, on your property, in construction, or in commercial outdoor areas. You purchase the underground cable by the meter and only pay for the length you actually need. Shipping is carried out reliably from our warehouse in Amerang.
The NYY-J underground cable is characterized by its robust, black PVC outer sheath and a nominal voltage of 0.6/1 kV. As a power cable, it transmits energy reliably while remaining resistant to moisture, permanent ground contact, and moderate mechanical stress. The copper conductors are protected by PVC insulation and an additional cable sheath – this makes the power cable suitable for permanent use outdoors, in damp environments, and underground. Depending on the version, the cable has three, four, or five cores. The abbreviation "J" indicates the integrated green-yellow protective conductor, which is mandatory for grounded installations. Our underground cables are manufactured to tested quality according to DIN VDE 0276-603.
Compared to the classic NYM-J installation cable, which is intended for fixed installation in dry, damp, and wet indoor spaces, the NYY-J is designed to be significantly more robust than the NYM-J. Both cable types use copper conductors with PVC insulation, but the more resilient outer sheath and higher nominal voltage make the NYY-J the right choice wherever a cable must withstand weather, soil, or permanent moisture.
In our assortment, you will find NYY-J underground cables in various designs. The number of cores and the appropriate cross-section depend on the application and the load to be transmitted: small cross-sections are sufficient for outdoor lighting and short cable runs, medium ones for socket circuits, and larger ones for house connections, sub-distribution boards, or the power supply of high-load consumers such as wallboxes. For longer distances, a larger conductor cross-section also ensures lower voltage loss.
Underground cables are laid wherever electricity needs to be safely guided into the garden, outdoors, or across the property. Typical examples include supply lines to garden sheds, garages, and carports, the power supply for outdoor lighting, pond and fountain systems, the connection of wallboxes, as well as installations on construction sites and in commercial outdoor areas. Compared to overhead lines, the underground cable scores points with more protection against the weather and an unobtrusive landscape: unlike an above-ground overhead line, it runs invisibly in the ground, without any tripping hazards. The primary area of application for the NYY-J therefore remains outdoor and underground areas. The cable can be laid directly in the ground, in conduit pipes, and – within buildings – on plaster or on cable trays.
Before laying, you should carefully plan the cable route and determine the points where you need, for example, outdoor lights or outdoor sockets. For underground laying, a sufficiently deep trench is excavated and the cable is placed in a layer of sand – ideally also guided in a pipe or cable protection conduit to protect it from future damage. A warning tape should be laid above the cable, which will immediately indicate the line underneath during future excavations. Maintain the recommended installation depth of 60–80 cm and observe local regulations regarding minimum distances. This ensures successful, safe, and code-compliant installation.
Additional safety rules apply to circuits in outdoor areas: outdoor circuits should be routed in a separate circuit and protected by a miniature circuit breaker as well as a residual current device (RCD). This allows short circuits and electric shocks to be reliably avoided. Use only plug connections and components that are approved for outdoor use and comply with VDE specifications. A sufficient installation depth also protects the underground cable from damage by rodents or gardening tools. Electrical installations in outdoor and underground areas should generally be handled by professionals.
You receive EBROM underground cables in tested quality, ready-cut, and available for fast delivery. Whether you want to connect an outdoor light, several outdoor sockets, or a wallbox – you can lay the appropriate underground cable reliably and in compliance with standards. We supply all common versions from stock, so that you can implement your project without waiting. For particularly stressed sections, the cable can additionally be routed in a pipe that permanently protects the line. This way, you can safely route power from the house distribution board to the last connection – with an underground cable made for exactly these demands. Those who want to lay it themselves should plan the cable route in advance – the actual installation in the ground is then straightforward.
For professional underground installation, we also have the appropriate accessories ready – such as route warning tape for marking, cable protection pipes for additional mechanical protection, and sleeves for repairs and extensions. This way, you can order everything for your project in one go.
At EBROM, you buy NYY-J underground cables made to measure – cut to your desired length, without unnecessary waste. You benefit from tested quality, a large selection of cross-sections and core numbers, and fast shipping from our warehouse in Amerang.
