Legal guarantee
At least two years of legal guarantee of conformity for goods sold in the European Union.
Consumers can exercise their rights under the legal guarantee, for example if the goods:
- do not match their description,
- do not work as intended.
Sellers are liable for any lack of conformity that existed when the goods were delivered and becomes apparent during the legal guarantee period. In these cases, sellers must offer:
- repair or replacement free of charge,
- in certain cases, a price reduction or a full refund of the purchase price.
Some countries provide a longer legal guarantee period. A shorter period may apply to second-hand goods, but it cannot be less than one year.
For information about your rights in a particular country, scan the QR code in the notice or ask the seller.

What should you do if you receive goods that do not conform?
- Tell the seller about the problem as soon as possible.
- Provide proof of purchase, such as a receipt, invoice or bank statement.
Sellers and manufacturers may also provide commercial guarantees that apply independently of the legal guarantee. For example, the GARAN label in the notice indicates that the manufacturer provides a commercial durability guarantee at no additional cost that covers the entire product.
